Nick Cocks

Book, Music & Lyrics

Nick Cocks is a writer, musician and performer who moved to Brooklyn from his hometown upstate in June. He has written numerous short film and One-Act scripts in the styles of horror, absurdist, satirical and noir. Eden 2.0 is his first full length play script and marks a tonal shift in his work. He is currently being grounded into a fine powder by the stress of trying to make art, work, having an internship and finding the time to feed himself. Hopefully we'll see a sleepless, slightly handsomer phoenix rise from those ashes.

Producer & Stage Manager

Nigel Semaj B. is a New York City based director/choreographer from Washington, D.C. Nigel is currently pursuing his MFA in Directing at The New School. He is an alum of Lycoming College in Williamsport PA, where he studied directing and performance. Along with a passion for directing, Nigel has a long time love for movement and dance, having taught dance and assisting with movement/choreographing on musicals and plays for the past four years.  Inspired by the use of movement and staging techniques of John Tiffany, Liesl Tommy, Ivan van Hove, Marianne Elliott in their productions such as Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Eclipsed, The Crucible, and A View from the Bridge, Nigel explores different movement styles for each production, using movement in order to aid in telling the story. Nigel's directorial interests are in the scripts of playwrights whose work breaks the mold--plays dealing with social injustices, challenge the audience to go out of their comfort zone and ultimately inspire change. Along with his love of directing and movement, Nigel is an aspiring theatre educator and advocate for arts education. Teaching and actively supporting the arts in secondary and primary schools, Nigel intends to make a career in arts education along with directing and choreographing,  In addition to his works in theatre, Nigel is a professional selfie taker, avid eater and spends his nights watching re-runs of "The Office" and "Parks and Rec" on Netlflix.

The Huntington Free Library

& Reading Room

Thomas X. Casey, President

Before The Bronx was “The” Bronx, the Huntington Free Library and Reading Room has been open to the public, serving the community.

Opened on October 17, 1891 and incorporated in 1892 by railroad magnate Collis P. Huntington for the then Town of Westchester, the Huntington Free Library was created “to provide a place where all persons without distinction of race or creed may assemble for the purpose of reading, study, education and self improvement.”

The Huntington Free Library has kept to the edict issued by Collis Huntington 125 years ago, and through various programs, lectures and its collections still serves as an important resource for the entire Bronx.
